St. Peter Damian Church has a youth ministry group that is always looking for new faces who want to share their faith with others and have fun doing it! Genesis Teen Group is open to teens 7th - 12th grade. The youth ministry center is open in the lower level of the rectory.

The Youth Ministry Center has a space just for teens to meet and enjoy their time together in the presence of God. The center has a seating area with a TV and a gaming console, a gaming area that includes pool, air hockey and foosbal. Recently added to the center is our chalkboard wall, where all those who have come to spend time with us can sign their name. We have an outdoor fire pit for those nights where we want to grill some hot dogs and make some yummy s'mores!

Want to hang out with us? All attendees MUST have a waiver on file before being permitted to stay for a meeting.

Youth Group meets twice a month on Sunday evening. While school is in session our hours are 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Summer hours will differ. Some service projects will be scheduled on a Friday or Saturday.

Please print the waiver and have your teen bring it to the meeting.

Sunday, September 17th, 3-6 pm Miniature Golf at Riverview Golf on the Fox River. [Meet at the Teen Center at 3 pm.]
RSVP by September 11th so we can plan transportation and let them know a head count for golfing.
Sunday, September 24th from 6-8 pm we will be meeting at the Teen Center for a night of games/fun/movies of your choice, campfire or whatever we decide to do. Kick back and just hang out.

Sunday, October 22nd meet at 9:30 am mass we will sit together
Sunday, October 29th from 5-8 pm we will be meeting at the Teen Center for a Halloween party painting pumpkins and roasting hot dogs.

Friday, December 1st from 5:30-8 pm for the Village Christmas Tree Lighting and activities at the Gazebo park. We will be meeting at the Teen Center at 5:30 pm. Please bring a travel mug to fill with hot chocolate to take with us as we walk over to the park. The children’s and teen choir will be joining us as we carol to the park for a night of fun. Pick up will be at the Teen Center. More details to come on the activities as they become available from the Village. RSVP by November 22nd
Sunday, December 17th from 6-8 pm for our Christmas Party and Cookie Exchange and Secret Santa. We will be meeting at the Teen Center and drinking hot chocolate while sharing cookies (homemade or store bought being conscious of peanut and tree nut allergies) as we exchange homemade or store bought/Goodwill $5 or less silly and fun Secret Santa gifts and enjoy the start of the Christmas season. We will set up our tree to decorate. RSVP by December 1st.
Activities in the works and more details to come:
- Christkindlemarket in Aurora will be scheduled soon sometime between 11/17 and 12/24.
- Morton Arboretum: Illuminations Tree Lights sometime between 11/18 and 1/6.
- The dates are not set while we wait for more information please RSVP your interest in attending these by October 1st when tickets become available. Dates will be chosen by tickets that are available for our group size.
