LENTEN INFORMATION

LENTEN DISCIPLINES OF FASTING & ABSTINENCE
Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 18th. The following are the regulations for abstinence and fasting to be observed by Catholics during Lent.​
A fast and abstinence is prescribed for Ash Wednesday and Good Friday and recommended for Holy Saturday. Fast is observed by all Catholics between the ages of 18 and 59. Those bound by this may take only one full meal. Two smaller meals are permitted, if necessary, to maintain strength according to one's needs. Solid food between meals is not permitted.

Abstinence from meat is to be observed by all Catholics 14 years and older on all Friday of Lent.

Stations of the Cross are prayed every Friday at 7:00PM in the Chapel.

TAIZÉ PRAYER SERVICE
Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 8:00PM
Prayer ~ Meditation ~ Adoration ~ Candlelight ~ Music
Originating in 1940 with a community of Catholic and Protestant brothers in Taizé, France, this form of prayer is most notable for its meditative chanting. Short songs, repeated again and again, become a way of listening to God.

TAIZÉ PRAYER SERVICE
Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 7:00PM
A prayer service begins our Lenten Reconciliation evening. Followed by prayer we will over individual confessions in English and Polish until 8:30PM. If you are unable to attend this service, additional time will be offered on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Confessions will be heard on Saturday from 3:00PM - 6:00PM. You can also contact the parish office to make an appointment with a priest.
