Holiday Meal Giveaway
For the 4th year, the St. Peter Damian Food Pantry will be offering Holiday Meals to the families that visit the Food Pantry. Last year with your cash donations along with donations from Jewel, the Philippine community, and Prairie Farms Dairy we were able to provide holiday meals to 85 families for Thanksgiving, and 70 holiday meals for Christmas. We are anticipating similar numbers this year.
Food Pantry Fun Facts
-
We have 129 registered families that have used the food pantry this year.
-
We have served 1,100 family visits to the food pantry throughout the year feeding 5,228 family members.
-
We have been able to keep our doors open to serve the community solely by the donations of the parishioners and surrounding community.
-
We can not do this without you and thank you for being a part of the food pantry ministry!

Want to help?
A typical holiday meal will consist of the fixings for a turkey dinner along with basic staples for the week such as potatoes, bananas, oranges, lettuce, onions, milk, eggs, butter, peanut butter, jelly, pasta, pasta sauce, juice, oatmeal, pancake mix, syrup, canned vegetables, flour, oil, sugar, toilet paper and laundry soap. A complete meal will cost approximately $50.00 per family.

If you would like to help fund a meal, please take a Holiday Meal Donation Envelope from one of our volunteers located by all the exits on the weekend of October 11/12. You can fund a full meal or a partial meal. Any amount will help! The envelopes can be dropped into any of the collection baskets during Mass or brought to the parish office through November 2nd so we can start planning. Thank you for your kindness and generosity in helping us feed the hungry!
