Our Church Family

Renovation

One of the parish goals is ongoing efforts to maintain, improve and beautify our facilities.

On the occasion of our 60th parish anniversary we established Renovation Fund which includes:

   - donations from individual businesses and corporations,

   - monthly maintenance collection.

With in the last few years we have been focusing on the renovation of the Chapel, painting and maintaining the rectory offices, improving the parking lot.

We have worked on Hardy Hall – we painted the offices, purchased the new furniture. The internet for the teachers have been installed and introduced.  The new TV screen for the parents and teachers allows to view the latest events in the Lifelong Faith Formation. We finalized the contemporary library called John Paul II Resource Center including many movies and books allowing our parishioner to deepen our catholic faith.

In summer of 2015, we began the updating of our main church.  We started with the sanctuary by changing our altar to a smaller look with an all wood finish and granite surfaces.  We softened the color of the walls and brought back the statue of Christ and the tabernacle to the center behind our new altar.  With the alignment of the tabernacle and Christ a beautiful Tiffany glass display of the Holy Ghost was positioned above Him and lit from behind to introduce more color. Following along with the color choices for the wood, paint and granite altar we decided to bring to our confessional room and sacristy beautiful tile floors.  After the completion of our sanctuary our focus has moved to the ceiling, roofing and sky lights plus the refurbishing of our pews.  Our hope is to bring St. Peter Damian into the modern day with a classic design.

We invite everyone to see the changes in the Chapel.
The further renovation will be possible only by your generous response. You can write a check with renovation memo, or you can also donate online and click on the link below.
