Happy Thanksgiving!
November 30th is the First Sunday
of Advent. The Advent wreath in the sanctuary, the banners on
both sides of the sanctuary and the purple vestments are all
signs that this is Advent. Advent is our time of
preparation and anticipation.
To help you focus during the season of Advent, as you leave
church there are books entitled “Five Minutes with the
Word.” Please feel free to take one

The Giving Tree
This weekend the Giving Trees are up in the lobby
of the Church. On the
trees are tags with the names of children who need help
in making this Christmas a little merrier.
Please take a tag of either an individual or family of children
from the tree and buy a gift for that person. After purchasing a
gift,
we ask that you wrap it, securely tape the tag on the top of the
gift
and return it by 11:00 a.m. on December 7.
Please make sure that if you take a tag, you buy and return a
gift — we count on you once you take a tag.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call
Howie or Maureen at 630-289-9232. Thank you.

Religious Goods
Our annual pre-Christmas
sale will be held the weekend of November 29/30. Come and check
out the great bargains.
Advent calendars, wreaths, and candles are available.
We have Christmas items; a beautiful three piece nativity set
and ornaments. There are great gift items such as key chains,
necklaces, note pads,
and children’s books. Come and shop for family, friends, and teachers.
Thank You
The REP Staff would like to thank all the
parishioners, teachers,
and students who helped make our November 8/9 bake sale a huge
success.
A special salute to those who helped price, organize and sell
the goodies for sale. The $1181 that was raised is going to help
families
from our parish and community. This certainly will make their
holidays more thankful. God bless you all for your generosity
and kind hearts.
